This is how the German autohifi magazine names our GZPW 18SPL subwoofer after testing it in autohifi 05/2009.

New sound pressure record: The Ground Zero GZPW 18 SPL is a superlative Subwoofer…

…Everything on this yellow glowing monster is made for maximum sound pressure.
For example, the thick Ferrit magnet under the rubber weights 17 kg alone. He ensures an extreme powerful magnet field of 31 Teslameters (Tm) in the air gap…

…Our instruments showed 128 dB at 70 Hz – with this result the gigantic Ground Zero matches the record. At 50 Hz, he even forced up to 130 dB. An unbelievable level!…

…The hoped for sensation came: Believe it or not – at 30 Hz Lowpass, 121 dB were shown on our display. With this score the GZPW 18SPL beats the valid record score from Helix SPXL 12 of 118 dB with an advance of 3 dB…

In short: His performance was just brutal. As the GZPW 18SPL got started in our test Golf, no one could believe it. No matter if short, crisp kicks or profound bass, he shot them all from the hip – as it was just easy going. Talking about Sound pressure, he seems to know no end at all…

…This thing is addictive and it always provokes you to turn up the volume a little more and more…
